Camden boasts a great amount of history, specifically when it comes to shipbuilding. Lyman-Morse’s Camden Marina stands on the historic shipbuilding grounds, previously known as Camden Shipbuilding and Marine Railways Co. The shipyard started by building three masted schooners and by 1900, the world’s first 6 masted schooner was built on this site. Today you can still see the remains of the railway that was used to launch these schooners, right next to Lyman-Morse’s Travel Lift!
